Welcome to Zen 3D Builds (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our website (zen3dbuilds.com) and purchasing our products or custom fabrication services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our platform.

1. Overview of Services

Zen 3D Builds provides premium additive manufacturing (3D printing), custom physical prototyping, multi-part assembly, and e-commerce retail services. We reserve the right to refuse service, modify product availability, or cancel orders at our sole discretion at any time.

2. Custom Fabrication & Client-Submitted Files

For custom manufacturing requests where the client provides 3D models or digital design assets (e.g., STL, OBJ, or STEP files):

• File Ownership & Rights: You retain all intellectual property rights to your submitted designs. By submitting a file, you warrant that you own or have the explicit legal right to manufacture the design, and that it does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property, copyrights, or trademarks.
• Printability & Modifications: We evaluate files for structural integrity and manufacturing capability. We reserve the right to reject files that are unprintable, hazardous, or violate our studio standards.
• Tolerances & Technical Variations: 3D printing is an additive process. Minor surface variations, visible layer lines, and microscopic dimensional deviations are normal characteristics of the technology and do not constitute manufacturing defects.

3. Materials & Environmental Suitability

We work with a variety of technical filaments (including PLA, PETG, ABS, and ASA) chosen based on project specifications.

• It is the customer’s responsibility to review material limits regarding thermal exposure, mechanical stress, and UV exposure.
• Zen 3D Builds is not liable for structural failures, warping, or degradation resulting from exposing fabricated objects to environments exceeding the material’s structural or technical design ratings.

4. Payments, Pricing, and Quotes

• All prices for retail items listed on our shop page are subject to change without notice.
• Custom projects require a formal, written quote via our studio communications. Production will not begin until payment has been cleared in full, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

5. Shipping, Production Timelines, and Delivery

• Production lead times provided during quotes or at checkout are realistic estimates based on current workshop capacity, mechanical run-times, and project complexity. They are not absolute guarantees.
• We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by shipping carriers, customs clearances, or incorrect addresses provided by the customer.

6. Cancellations & Returns Policy

• Retail Shop Items: Standard, non-custom stock items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if they are in pristine, unused condition. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
• Custom Builds & Prototyping: Because custom pieces are fabricated entirely to your unique specifications, all sales are final once production has initiated on the print beds. Cancellations or refunds are not permitted post-fabrication.
• Defects: If an object arrives structurally broken due to a clear manufacturing defect or shipping damage, contact the studio within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence so we can evaluate and remedy the issue.

7. Limitation of Liability

Zen 3D Builds, its owners, and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from the use, handling, or performance of our products or custom fabrications. Our total liability shall never exceed the purchase price paid by you for the specific product or service in question.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States.

9. Changes to Terms of Service

We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of our website or procurement of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of those updates.
